Qtouch2404C – Automated Bare Board Tester with in-built camera is designed to make automatic image capturing and probing of bare PCBs. It is designed to move on X,Y,Z directions making it possible to probe every test point. Flying Probe Tester is designed for testing high density fine pitched Single Sided / Double Sided and Multilayer PCBs for continuity and isolation using moving probes fixture –less technology. The tester accepts standard Gerber files/Drill data details as input data format. The software is GUI rich, Windows based user friendly and the user can generate report with net-wise data for resistance as well as isolation data with reference to parameters set and total number of nets tested for continuity and isolation. The system is supplied with Industry standard controller and printer for report generation and fault analysis. The auto fiduciary feature allows the user to the board without relearning the co-ordinates, whenever the board is repositioned or replaced with another board. Large board test area, easy mounting of PCBs, High accuracy vision system for learning of co-ordinates and easy entry of CAD Data makes it an ideal choice for automated testing bare PCBs. Continuity Test is intended to verify the PCB traces to find out whether any track opens or shorts between adjacent tracks are present and also to confirm the results match with the netlist of the PCB. The Open/Short decision threshold is programmable from 1Ω to 10K Ω. Isolation Test is performed between adjacent traces by normally forcing voltage less than 30Vand measuring leakage current which in turn gives isolation resistance measurable up to 100MΩ. This test is used to measure the leakage between adjacent PCB tracks to assess the dirt/moisture. Insulation Test is carried out normally forcing a higher voltage and measuring the leakage current which in turn gives insulation resistance measurable >1GΩ. This test is used to check the quality of the tracks especially the mask and clearance between the tracks to avoid arcing.

The Prober Test System is capable of movement in XYZ directions with fixed angle (θ) and dual probe heads (further expandable up to 4 ) . The system has in-built Vision Camera for easy monitoring of probe needle contact.The prober supports automatic fiduciary recognition. The system has built –in linear encoders to achieve higher precision. It also comes with in-built image processing unit with minimum 5 Mega pixel Camera ,tele-centric lens with image processing software, illuminated with LED bar light with controls.The V-I signature test shall be in-built in the Prober system with “ Best fit Curve “ algorithm .Provision for adding various external Test & Measurement instruments like GPIB / USB / PXI Instruments is available. System also has provision for integrated Boundary Scan Tests as standard IEEE1149.1 standards. The Prober supports image processing software to process the images of legacy boards without CAD data and to get high accuracy X-Y Coordinates .The final stitched image used to retrieve physical X&Y co-ordinates for automatic probing .The same image is used for Tagging to identify the Test Pins and for automatic fiduciary.The system provides automated sequencing of various tests with conditional jumping options under Test Sequencer mode and Test Station software for easy operation of operator level usage. The prober also offers optionally a) Functional Test module 256 Test Channel b) Reverse Engineering module with circuit tracing and schematic generation software. The system can be customized for Board functional test applications or for Reverse engineering for circuit schematic generation as well as for Bare Board Test applications.
